"Sometimes, loving your body is not an option. Sometimes, the best we can do is accept our bodies as the changeable, beautiful, frustrating vessels they are. That’s OK. Expecting yourself to have a full-on love affair with your body at all times is asking too much. Bodies are occasionally annoying. What we can do is know them, and decide for ourselves when they feel good, and when they feel less good, and what we might do to make them feel better again. Even if we can’t love our bodies, we can make sure we don’t hate them."

Meet the woman who saved my life. It may sound exaggerated but, yes, she saved my life. If wasn't because of her I wouldn't be who I am today. Damn, I don't even know if I would be here! I think if she hadn't appeared in my life,I would let things go far and I don't know if I would be here today. She showed me that I could one day look into the mirror and like what I see. She showed me that you don't need a pretty face to be beautiful, because everyone is perfect in unusual ways. She showed me that the mirror can lie,it doesn't show you what is inside. Because of her,I put the razor down. Today,I can smile without hiding tears behind it. Today,I can look into the mirror without sitting on the bathroom's floor and cry my eyes out. Today I can lay my head on my pillow without crying and wishing I was dead. Today,I cant take shower without taking the razor to make scars as a proof that words can hurt on my arm. Today,I can take pictures of myself without being insecure. And is everything because of her. Now I have a better life,I learned how to love myself,I learned that doesn't matter what you look like or how much you weight: you will always be beautiful, because it's YOU. I learned that our flaws is what make us perfect,I learned how to be rising from the ground, strong and beautiful like a skyscraper. And the most important of everything: I learned how to stay strong.
Thank you,Demetria Devonne Lovato, for saving me.
